How it works

From a note to a signed engagement.

Here is what happens from your first note to the work itself. Paul Albarrán is the attorney at every step, and you deal with him directly.

Everything you share is handled with the care owed to a prospective client.

Getting started with Morrow

  1. You send a note.

Tell Paul Albarrán what’s in front of you, like a vendor contract with a Fortune-500 company or a LegitScript application. A few lines will do.

  2. A plain answer, usually within a business day.

Paul runs a conflict check first. Then he reads what you sent and tells you plainly whether he can help. If he can’t, you’ll hear that too, with a pointer where he can give one.

  3. A short engagement letter.

If it’s a fit, you and Paul pick your plan, and he sends a short letter with the scope and the monthly fee. A one-off project gets its own written scope and price. The attorney-client relationship begins when you sign.

  4. The first working session.

You and Paul go through the business and everything on your desk. You leave with one page that says what he’s taking on first.

  5. The work starts.

Paul starts on your first matter, and you deal with him directly from then on.

How Paul Albarrán works as your outside general counsel

01Understand

Paul starts with your business.

He gets up to speed on your company quickly. That includes the needs you already know about and the ones you haven’t spotted yet.

02Clarify

Then he makes it clear.

You bring him the tangle of open questions. He hands back one page, in plain English, that says what needs your attention now.

03Plan

You and Paul plan for this month and the next stage.

Together, you decide what to do now and how it sets up the year ahead. A state expansion or a lender’s term sheet gets planned before it lands on your desk.

04Execute

Then he does the work and signs it.

He redlines the contract and negotiates it until it’s one you can build the business on. Paul reviews and signs everything that leaves the firm.

Paul moves fast and makes things clear. On a flat monthly fee, bring him questions early and often. Within your plan, the price stays the same.

Start with the real thing.

Tell Paul what’s in front of you. A few lines will do.
